Telephone System Upgrade
Information Service & Technology, Telecommunications will be upgrading the university telephone system during winter break in December. The current phone system was installed over ten years ago and was last upgraded in 2002. Advances in technology and the cost of maintaining the old system make it necessary to upgrade. This upgrade provides some new features including:
- New telephones
- Enhanced displays with call status icons
- Menu screens for advanced functionality
- Call Park
- Call History of incoming and outgoing including missed calls
- Personal phone book on telephone
- Malicious Call Trace
Informal sessions will be held for Faculty and Staff to preview the new telephones, new features and to ask any specific questions they may have. Reservations are required to attend. Please call 687-3881 to schedule.
Sessions will be held daily, Monday through Friday, beginning Monday, November 16 through Friday, December 4.
There will be two sessions per day. Morning sessions will be from 10am until noon and afternoon sessions will be from 2pm until 4pm.
All sessions will be held in Rhodes Tower 1001.
